Executive Officer Lt. Andrew Broyles Retirement Ceremony June 2022

The USS Constitution 1812 Marine Guard participated in the formal retirement ceremony onboard USS Constitution in honor of Executive Officer Lt. CDR Andrew Broyles as he closed out a U.S. Navy career that spanned 23 years from 1999 to 2022 with tours on the USS Buffalo (Pearl Harbor), USS Hue City (Mayport, FL), USS New York, USS Billings, and USS Constitution.
Guest speaker for the event was U.S. Navy EMCSS Randall E. Thompson.
“Fair Winds and Following Seas” Executive Officer Lt. CDR Andrew Broyles on the next chapter in your life back in your home state of Texas with your family. The 1812 Marine Guard reflects fondly on the accomplishments we shared in your two years with the Flagship of the U.S. Navy, and more importantly our friendship.
A casual reception at The Anchor in Shipyard Park followed the ceremony.

19th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Marine 4-Star General Retires from Military Service

The 1812 Marine Guard was honored to provide ceremonial support alongside the USS Constitution Crew at the Retirement Ceremony for the Nineteenth Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) Marine Gen. Joseph F. Dunford Jr. held at the USS Constitution Museum on October 11, 2019.
The CJCS is the nation’s highest-ranking military officer, and the principal military advisor to the President, Secretary of Defense, and National Security Council.
Prior to becoming Chairman, Dunford served as the 36th Commandant of the Marine Corps, and he has served 42 years in the military.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, members of the 1812 Marine Guard exchanged Military Challenge Coins with General Dunford.
